Caprylyl glycol has the best carbon chain length (C8) which can promote the degradation of microbial cell membrane structure, and it also can improve the inhibition effect of phenoxyethanol. In addition, caprylyl glycol has the moisturizing effect and can reduce the irritation of phenoxyethanol
